Sounds ugly for weather
« on: 06/10/15 21:02 UTC »
I've been hearing about some major weather event supposed to come along about tomorrow and now see postings already for flood watches with rain totals between 4 and six inches. Our ground is darned wet now. $ inches might float us. I was looking at the prediction map and Do-It is going to be right in on this too. And Andrew. Maybe even some of our SD members. The weather has been just nuts this spring/early summer so who knows what will come along. 4" certainly isn't needed here.

Yup  heard 3 inches as of early this morning on the news radio forecast.   More if the storm tracks a little more north. ..   really really really don't need that.

So much for our good river levels this year! Bass fishing has been pretty good. Finished 2nd in tonight's tournament...4th last week. Our biggest fish was a 3.8lb smallmouth caught on the Do-it Essentials Senko fished wacky.

If the forecast is accurate...we probably won't be fishing next week!

Yep. We have had 8 and 1/2 inches in the past 2 weeks. In north central wi. Forcast is for 4 to 6 more in next 2 days. The garden is drowning. The plants are yellow. This happened about 5 years ago. All the flood gates were cranked wide open. From the higher east shore I could see picnic tables, propane tanks and portable toilets going thru the gates bouncing down the river like huge bobbers. Freaky  It did considerable damage. Of less importance the fishing was messed up most of the summer.

We could use a little rain. They keep calling for it and it blows like it's going to rain but keeps going north of use. Yesterday afternoon we had 25mph winds and clouds moved in. Couldn't ride my bike or fish. This morning all is calm and no rain. Fly out to Wisconsin to see my brother tomorrow and I'm sure it will rain all weekend there.

Depending where you're flying into here in Wisconsin,  you may need to hire a float plane!

I see Tom has already seen some heavy rain this morning.   Just starting to rain here in west central Wisconsin.   I'm busting my but today and trying to be done with work before the real heavy stuff comes in a couple hours.

We've seen some rain overnight but nothing heavy yet. The weather map I use most shows the big over-night threat has stayed in Iowa...Jerry and Do-It's neck of the woods. The same map shows that we'll be in for a long stretch of wet though so its hard to say what will transpire. Through some daytime heat into all this humidity and things will get interesting fast.

The weather is getting better here. Forecast has been revised down to only 2 inches.
