Picked this up on clearance at the hardware store the other day.  It is obviously new old stock as the box was dusty and it came with an instructional VHS tape lol

Anyhow I have been putting it to use for heating up some of the more stubborn molds and my injector and man is it handy.  After a 4min blast, the 6" MO Magic shot like a dream!  The way the basket pulls out is pretty handy and when I'm not using it I store my molds in it since space is limited. 

They still sell this oven, it is a Toastmaster Quick Cooker.

Be careful with the heating. warping a mold is not something you want to do.

I'll be sure not to overdo it.  I have been getting them hot but am still able to handle them easily and only for the first injection,  after that they are plenty warm on their own.

Not to hijack the thread but I've been leaving mine in the oven at 175 between shoots.  Is that too hot?

I don't think at that temp you're in any trouble. I have molds that get to near 200 degrees after repeated shooting.

I preheat all my mo magics at 250 degrees until I'm ready to shoot. Not sure if they reach 250 but they are to hot to touch when I start shooting seems like after the pre heat and light Oil they shoot awesome

That's the result I have had too MO.  I was having trouble with the tails on the 6" until I started heating them.  Shoot like a charm now!

I have trouble with the tails on my ribbon tail worms, I'll have to oil them up and see how that works for me.  I have never gotten a full tail shoot, granted I've only tried a few times since it's not a bait I ever use.

All ribbon tails have to have a little oil on them to get started. Or a little heat added.

One thing You can try, to help get complete tails from those that have long, thin tails...shoot Soft or Super Soft Plastic, and shoot it a little warm.  That Runny Melt usually travels quite well.  Soft and Super Soft also are more-runny than Regular at a given temp, so those softer mixes can keep their color better than Regular (and Hard).

If You have Regular, I would add 2 ozs Softener to 10 ozs Regular Plastic to make a 12 oz Soft.  My Super Soft is 10.5 ozs Soft plus 1.5 ozs Softener for 12 oz total, or 14 ozs Soft to 2 ozs Softener for 16 ozs.

Great idea. Seeing I keep my molds and my workbench is in the garage it's always cold in there. Picking up an oven today
