With simple hand-pour belly the mold can be clamped as usual, then simply injected as usual. I recommend injecting slightly slower to prevent lifting the poured belly. If you are doing the line color on a poured belly, then you want to leave the mold flat, clamped to your table top, and inject from the side. I like to stop the injection when the rod stops but I do keep some pressure there for a couple seconds. I have a chunk of scrap plastic that I hold on the port after I pull the injector off the mold. Smaller baits you won't have to fret much about leaking plastic but larger volume baits can hold liquid plastic for some time and you want to stop any back flow that might occur.
