14 Degrees...
« on: 12/22/15 10:34 UTC »
It dropped to 14 on Saturday morning but I still stuck this one on a Flutter Jig, jigging spoon.  This one came from about 26 feet of water.

We are back up in the 40's and maybe 50's again tomorrow.

Thanks Denny... Merry Christmas to you as well.

2XL, I was tempted too.  With the winds at 18 out of the West they said the wind chill was about 0 degrees.  Its bites your face pretty good.

We got another smaller one about 4-5 pounds as well on a blade bait.

Cold doesn't bother me. Cold , wind and wet hands does. All the debris floating down with the high water made my decision easy. It would have made fishing miserable what with clearing lines non stop and dodging logs/trees. My buddy went anyways. He regretted it. LOL

LOL, yes I should be on the Visitors Bureau.

The beauty of this area is the amount of protected water.  2000+ acres.  There are some other great cities to fish but if they only have a breakwall to fish from you are at the mercy of the wind.  Here in the Milwaukee area, outside of lightning, you can always find somewhere to fish.  If I had to just rely on our outer breakwall for access. I'd literally be shut down 2/3rds of the year.

2XL, yes the rivers are high.  And more rain today...

Rained pretty good for an hour or so this morning and now the sun is out. So much for the 1 inch plus of rain we were supposed to get.
