The Revenant

Carole and I took in an afternoon matinee this afternoon and decided on this movie. Everything I had read written up about DiCaprio's performance was spot on. The movie opened at the showing we went to. Lots of others there and there wasn't a sound from anyone during the show. The special effects during the bear attack were just plain unreal. The language in the first half of the movie was a bit rough at times but I think it fit the movie as a whole. I'm going to see it again as soon as its on dvd and in the red box.

Thanks for sharing.  I have been wondering if the movie was " for real " or just the Hollywood folks pushing  DiCaprio's bandwagon.

Watched it yesterday. It was really good! The action starts quickly and stays with you through the entire movie. Not only is the acting very well done but the cinematography, sound design, set pieces and filming locations are all superb. Highly recommended to anyone who has been interested in seeing it but haven't pulled the trigger.
