Swim jig mold

Which mold do you folks prefer for a swim jig? I see DO-IT has a swim jig mold, but to me the bullet nose jig mold looks like it would shed weeds better.

For a weedless mold I like the snootie.

There are a few that I like, I use the Poison Tail, the Snootie, the Casting jig, and the Trokar Pro Swim Jig. Out of all of those my 2 favorite are the casting jig and the Trokar Pro Swim, I need both of those. The Casting jig I use the 1/8oz - 1/4oz sizes and I make what is known as a "Northern Style" Swim jig, I like the 1/4oz with a 4/0 light wire hook with a 30 strand skirt and a 3.5" Gene Larew Sweet Swimmer swim bait as a trailer. The Trokar Pro Swim I use to make a "California Style" swim jig, which is a 1/2oz with a 55 strand skirt and I use a 4" Big Hammer swim bait tail for the trailer. I wasn't sure if the heavy flat eye hook was going to be a weed catcher but it turns out is isn't, it comes through weeds just fine but I like it for brush and wood cover, that is where it shines.

Casting jig gets my vote.  This is a 3/8 oz one I tied up today in a bluegill pattern.

My gold fish just jumped out of the tank and tried to eat my I pad, that's a Purdy jig!

That is a good looking jig. I make a lot of poison tails and not because I swim them. They go through the weeds good. I know swimming a jig will catch fish but it's just one of those things I never do.

It's a good thing to throw when everyone else is throwing a spinnerbait. I find I can go behind someone throwing a spinnerbait and catch more and often times bigger fish swimming a jig. I swim it fast with a lot of quick jerks and twitches of the rod tip and they just come out and slam it.
