Bet it would catch a fish.
On another forum; one of the "regulars" said he test fished a sprue or two from a mold and they made pretty good drop shot baits.  Says he won't remelt that mold's sprues anymore.

I bet it would look really cool if you used a needle and threaded some rubber hackle (legs) through the sections....it would really look buggy!

I think Jason needs to do a contest of what to make from sprues!!!! (serious or funny!!!)...

4oz plastic
2 drops Bears Candy Apple Red
1 drop CCM White
My wife had some pearl/metallic powder ..pink ...I'll have to look at the brand name, but I guess any pink pearl will work. I scooped out a little on the tip of a butter knife.

The powder is called "Mica Powder" it's found in the "stamping" section of craft stores. Very small container so it must be expensive. I believe my wife said it came in a set. The brand name is Jacquard Products...the color I used was "Flamingo Pink". It does tint the plastic some, I discovered after using a blue powder. I don't think it has the same effect as the stuff used by others for plastics in creating the metallic/pearl effect....but for me it's not a negative thing..With that being said, if you have to buy a powder, I would buy the real thing....hope that helps.
