Newby & Love your Site..
« on: 12/13/11 11:08 UTC »
Hey Fellas, I am new here and have been hand pouring for about a year.  I have decided to get into Injection, Like most do once they are hooked.  Glad that I stumbled onto the site, I love it...Great Resource for learning.

I am going to give your CC plastic a try and see what happens, but also I am going to buy a few molds to get started with.

I have decided on the 3.5" Croaker, and the Lizard

I live and do all my fishing on the TN River lakes, and endup doing quite a bit of Shakerhead fishing.  What would you guys recommend from the CC Molds as a really good shakey bait? The 5" or 6" Skinny Carrot??? any others??

Also in Summer when the Bass go really deep, I use a 5/8 oz Football head sometimes when the bite gets tough or when there is not much current   Any recomendations for Deep Shakey head fishing...

Thanks for the responses, I love the Site

Welcome to CCM, Vols!  You're definitely in the right place.  CCM plastic is the best there is.  I fish Freshwater, Bass/Sacalait/Bream/Catfish, but most of my experience is Inland Saltwater, so I really couldn't suggest another Mold for Your Arsenal.  I have the 5" Skinny and 6" Skinny molds, but I have yet to get them warm.

Good to have Ya!!!

The 6" Skinny Carrot  is a fantastic bait...LOTS of action. It's a SUPER wacky worm also.

I use the 6" skinny a lot on football heads for deep bass (and walleyes) and since the plastic floats you get a really good tail up presentation.

The baits you will get off that mold are perfect every time...it's a great starter mold (it was one of my starters!). Just remember to inject SLOWLY at hand pressure. (if you get flash in any mold...it's because you were injecting too fast)

You will love the CCM plastic...I would suggest medium...it seems to work well with all molds and has good durability.

My favorite colors:
1. Watermelon with red flake
2. Black with Blue flake
3. Electric Snot (Chartreuse with green and chart. flakes). Smallmouth really seem to like this color for some reason.

Post your questions/issues/results.....this site is great about helping out !!!

Welcome!!!

The 6" Skinny Carrot is a must.  It will work great on a Shaky Head or Wacky.

For a shaky head I would also look at the following:

The Toad Stickers would work well if you are looking for a creature bait to put on it:
