Saw this technique from a guy on another forum and had to try it. These turned out awesome.

Super nice.  Did you air brush and then clear coat dip them?

Thanks guys. Thump no airbrushing, the blue is make up and the gold is pearlex on the bottom half of the laminate. Then the top lam is shot in clear so it shows through. Then I did put eyes on and clear dipped.

So your actually "painting the mold" Then pouring the bottom color, "painting the top half of mold, closing and shooting the second color?

Muskygary. I just shot the bottom put the color on then shot the top so the color is all inside the plastic. The color is just in between the 2 halves not on the outside at all. Same thing as you see Tom do with pouring the bottom then putting the colorant on then shooting the top only I used powder instead of colorant for part then put a dot of colorant just before the tail to color it black.

Thanks for the info. Can't understand why the powder didn't run, like the colorant does. Guess I'm going to have to try it myself!

I don't know why it doesn't run but it stays right where you put it. I've made a few others like these that look pretty cool too. It's kind of time consuming but for me bait making is my art.

Nope not me. I'm guessing you got them from a guy in Louisiana.
