OK guy's, does anyone know what the recipe is to this Alabama Craw? I absolutely want this color...

Not exactly.  I would start with some Mayfly, Brown, and a hint of orange and tweek it from there.

This is a laminate color.

I don't have the exact recipe as I try not to duplicate others colors if possible but make a color that is mine.

Make your GP recipe for one side and add 2-3 drops of brown + medium black flake. The black flake and brown will give you that brownish color. Use orange pumpkin (M-F) for the other side + medium black flake or orange (LC) and a drop of white + medium black flake.

PS Who has Mayfly colorant? Looks like roadkill camo a bit or are my eyes crazy this morning??!!

PS  After further review, I might go with amber brown vs brown and I bet you can get close to that orange with CCM Floro orange and white mix...

Maybe any of those will get it!!! I might have to do this color tonight just to see how it comes out!!! LOL!!!

I am a sucker for anything with a food name.  I had to buy Lurecraft's Sweet potato as a non- Fluoro orange color.  If you have any of that; it looks to be a good base color for the  orange-ish bottom, add more browns to it for the top; maybe.   This color looks a sort of  "Baby Crawdad" color in crappie baits; which is a good color.  A little crawdad orange never hurts.

Got something I feel good about calling Alabama craw. Will post pics and recipe in a.m.

I will say, the darker brown affects the color alot and the orange has to be more orange and opaque or you see very little difference in the two sides.

I had to use straight up orange plus a little sweet potato (thanks Paul!!!!) to get the orange good. Orange pumpkin and any fluorescent orange probably will not work unless you add a REAL lot of those. They are just to translucent of colors. Even with salt, you would be adding hundreds of drops.

Here we go (finally!!!) Had these pics for a week now!

I took a shot of the colors seperated and you can notice how bright the orange is when not laminated with the brown color. Some may want a little more sweet potato or even golden yellow for this color but I like the more orange color in the water.





Recipe: 
4oz plastic: 3 drops LC orange, 3 drops LC sweet potato, pinch medium black flake.

4oz plastic: 6 watermelon brown (M-F), 4 green pumpkin (LC "old" color),4 drops pumpkinseed (LC), 2 drops of LC amber brown, 1 black (CCM) and 1 brown (LC). Pinch of medium black flake.

Hope this is a good jump off for other recipes or get you close if you want to replicate Zoom's.

That orange is a great color.  Those laminates will catch fish.
