Football swing jig mold???

Can you use a regular offset worm hook for this mold. I'm thinking about getting the mold and using 1/0 worm hook for 4" worms instead of texas rigging with slip sinker. The small worm and slip sinker cause alot of line twist for some reason.

What do ya'll think?
