I'm still wanting to see the lizard done with a swirl core and tail...

(If no sooner, you'll have to bring your twinjector north when you come for a fall fishing trip, and we can make attempts at creating the beast in the garage then.)

Lol it might be fall. I don't have a lizard mold at this time.  Who knows I might pick one up though.  Sometimes I buy molds I don't fish with just for the cool bait possibilities lol.

Okay, how'd you make the scale pattern? Is that a piece of tape you laid in the mold?

Lol no tape Gary.  Just think hand dipping tubes.  I dipped my E-core pin in black plastic then applied the scale pattern to the black while still on the pin with Hi-lite powder and scale masking.  Then set the pin in place and shot the purple around it.  Pull the pin cut the tail and shoot the core tail/color. Done this way you can have a different color tail than core color.

Now just to clarify..After putting the hi-lite on you remove the scale masking before putting the rod in the mold? Or is the masking left on perment?

Yep remove it. It's just there to get the pattern when applying the hi-lite.  And I am always thinking about new baits even at night lol
