I`m not following the set up,and don`t trust the site either. Any other way to show me. I`m thinking I may want to do the same.

Small surgical tubing pieces might do the trick.  Maybe worth a shot.  Many trailer hooks on spinnerbaits are held in place that way.

Thanks Dream,I like it. I think the tubing will work, with just a slice cut off.

I'm going to make some 4" Carrots up using the High Density Sinking Additive....which not only make them sink..but eliminates the need for the rubber ring (like for wacky) because they are SIGNIFICANTLY more durable  .... and nose hook them on a good sized circle hook....and make'em dance...like a Banjo Minnow!

I don't really see the need based on the setup pictured I have one of the old kits from years ago but what happens without the o-rings? I don't see an issue is it me I admit I've never rigged this way without the o-rings so I don't know first hand. I would think the o-rings would actually be restrictive to movement which sounds like your trying to achieve?

Without the o rings the bait keeper could come off the hook given the erratic action.

The rigging option I was working on earlier. This is the 3" and 5" Carrot. Now just if the O-rings I found are small enough I'm set.

412, why not just hook it in the nose??

Side by side this moves way more freely then a nose hook. Now to see the difference in the water.

Then I'll know if the extra cost in the rig which isn't much at all is worth it.

Ok, found exactly what you were looking for after it was explained.

https://www.banjominnowstore.com/Store/p-138-o-rings.aspx

I do NOT! know the validity of the website due to it's security cert. being expired. I tried to contact the Banjo Minnow customer service but they are east coast based and have shut down until Thursday morning @ 9AM est. I will be calling on Thursday to update this post and get the info on the validity of that site before I make a purchase.

For anyone who is confused:

The rig he was wanting to setup is an octopus style hook with an o-ring slid over the point past the barb then a bait keeper slid down over the point to sit against the o-ring than another o-ring placed past the barb so the bait keeper will not come off. Then screwing the bait keeper into the nose of the carrot to allow INSANE action.

I would add a gum band (bracer rubber band) to make it weedless!

The rig would be amazing for so many applications, once I verify that site I will let the forum know.

Drew

Everytime I contact Ispikeit.com, their return email address has the words "banjominnow" in it. Maybe they own it or used to..Might contact Ispikeit and see if they have what you're looking for.
