my fluid bed setup i made
« on: 01/03/14 16:11 UTC »
This is a fluid bed I made a couple years ago for my dad . Its all paint other than the pictures. I think it turned out kinda cool. It has to vertical uprights with wire between them for hanging his favorite Do-It jigs off of

That's different than others I've seen.  Mine are just basic pvc - 3, 2 inch and 2, 3 inch.  When I do brush tapping I'll use the beds to do all my bottom colors then go back and finish with the brush tapping for the top coat.

That's about as cool as it gets Mo.  I love the personal touch... a real piece of art.  Good times indeed.

Your dad's a lot better looking than you.  Adopted?
Until next time.

The rest of us were trying not to bring it to attention Denny...  You trying to give him a complex or something?    Geesh

That looks like something some of my buddies use to have back in our college days. Don't remember any body talking about powder paint though. But I guess that does help explain why we are like we are. Nice looking fluid bed ( wink wink ) there Mo.

I can see Mo now. " No No dad ! That's not what it is ! Look it's a fluid bed and I made it for you ! "

Rumor is Mo's dad can't fish in Mexico anymore. When he crosses the line all the boarder patrol dogs start barking at his jig box.

these are my 3, 2" beds - the one on the left I won from an old fishing site (along with a 3") and built the others roughly the same except the top cups screw in and out and I have extra cups for them.

They are hooked up to a Tetra Whisper 60 dual port air pump, into a 3 way valve, and each line off that has it's own shutoff.  I can run all 3 at the same time.
